The Lewis University Cheer Team supports both men's and women's sports on campus. We cheer for volleyball and basketball. We primarily cheer home games, with a few local out of town games. We participate and perform at all sports pep rallies and club pep rallies. Click HERE to get more information about Lewis University Athletics. The team practices twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. The practice times are from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. At practice, we work on all cheer skills (jumps, tumbling, stunting, dances) as well as practice all sidelines and performances. Team members are also required to attend two 1-hour workouts on their own time, to keep up their strength and conditioning. During competition season, additional practices will be scheduled to work on tumbling and/or routine work. All practices are open and visitors are welcome. Please contact the coaches to schedule a visit. All team members attend a pre-camp workout and a summer camp hosted by NCA. Work week and camp are mandatory for all team members. We also compete at the NCA Collegiate National Championship, held in Daytona Beach, FL in April. The team has been attending this competition since 2003. We also continue to look for new competition opportunities.
